FOJAM’s 2019 spring fundraiser began today, Monday, March 4, and will run through Friday, March 29. This is the Jane Addams music program’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and we are hoping to raise $30,500. To achieve that, our goal is to receive $100 in donations from each student.
Your student will be receiving participation and donation forms from their music teachers this week. These forms can be returned at the March concerts, to the school office or to your student’s music teachers.
There will be a pizza party for the class with the highest percentage of music fundraising participation.
We need your help
The money we raise during our spring fundraiser is essential to making the Jane Addams music program a place for every student to learn and grow, regardless of financial need or musical ability. Last year, more than half of our budget was spent on instruments and instruction for students. The funds also help cover sheet music costs, scholarships and performances. Your donation is tax-deductible
FOJAM is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. All donations are 100% tax-deductible. Tax ID #47-1029355.
The fundraiser has three interconnected goals:
1. Raise $30,500
Students can solicit donations from family and friends, host a fundraising music party or consider other fundraising activities that allow them to play and share music. Donations can be made with cash, checks or via PayPal.
2. Expand students’ performance opportunities
We challenge each student to do more with their music during the fundraising period. That can include anything from practicing more at home to playing and singing with a friend in public. Your student may even consider volunteering to perform in a retirement center, bookstore or café.
3. Outreach
Our fundraiser is a way to raise awareness about the Jane Addams music program and the vibrant music community we have created in our middle school.
