Jane Addams Middle School Summer Music Program is coming in June! The program is for 2016-2017 6th graders interested in participating in instrumental music at JAMS. It will be held June 27-30 from 9:00 a.m to 12 noon.  The fee is $40 for the week. Instruments and supplies are available for students who need them. The Senior Jazz Band has qualified for the Next Generation Jazz Festival this April in Monterey, California. This will be an expensive trip and your financial assistance would help enormously. On January 28, the Senior Jazz Band performed at the Clark College Jazz Festival in Vancouver, WA.   Two outstanding musician awards were given to JAMS students, Jack A. on trombone and Colin B. on trumpet.   The Band was invited to play in the finals, and they won first place playing “Take the A-Train” and “Afro Blue.” Congratulations to JAMS Music and to all the students! FOJAM (Friends of Jane Addams Music) is seeking donations for the Music-a-thon student prize drawing. The prizes will be awarded to students for their participation in Music-a-thon fundraising activities. \ All donations, small or large, are greatly appreciated.
