DESCRIPTION:Please drop your musician off at school by 6:30 pm \nConcert attire \nStudents are expected to wear nice\, all black clothes and shoes. No jeans\, sweats\, sneakers\, or crop tops please. Clothing should not have any obvious logos on it. Mrs. Schaefer has asked students who are choosing to wear a dress or skirt to be mindful of the fact that they are elevated on the stage and that a too-short skirt might show the audience more than they want to. Now is a good time to purchase nice black clothes\, as stores are gearing up for the holiday party season. Students often end up wearing their same concert outfit for an entire year or more. If you need financial assistance to be able to provide these items for your student\, please let Mrs. Schaefer  know as soon as possible so that arrangements can be made. \n  \nAudience attendance \nDue to SPS COVID safety requirements for in-person performances and the capacity of our auditorium\, each student will only be able to have one guest attend. All adults will be required to show proof of vaccine and all attendees will need to complete a health verification and wear masks for the duration of the performance. \nFor families and family members who can’t attend the in-person concert\, a recording will be sent out so that you can see your student’s performance. We wish everyone could be here in person\, but we realize that won’t be possible for this concert. SUMMARY:Senior Jazz Benefit Concert
DESCRIPTION:Thursday November 7 at 7 pm in the JAMS Auditorium\, join us for a benefit concert for the Jane Addams senior jazz band and their trip to New Orleans. Senior jazz\, advanced choir\, and chamber orchestra will be joined by a performance by an alumni all-star jazz combo and guest artist Alex Dugdale to round out this incredible event. All JAMS friends\, families and neighbors welcome! \nJAMS senior jazz was the only middle school selected to be featured at the highly prestigious Jazz Educator’s Network Conference (JEN) held in January in New Orleans. This is a tremendous honor and once in a lifetime educational opportunity.  \nHelp our dedicated musicians get there\, suggested donation $10.You can also donate online here!
